The Otto’s Garage Door Guarantee
Here’s the plain version. If Otto’s Garage Door installs it, repairs it, or replaces it, we stand behind the work for 90 days in writing. That’s the 90-Day Done Right Promise, and it’s printed on every invoice you’ll get in Thousand Oaks. If something isn’t right, one call to (805) 519-7431 brings Otto back. No runaround, no customer-service queue, no waiting for a callback from someone you’ve never met. We’ve been doing it this way since 2004, and the guarantee hasn’t changed because it doesn’t need to. The name on the van is the name on the invoice and the name on the license.
What’s Covered
- Workmanship on every job. If the install or repair we did fails within 90 days, we fix it at no charge. Period.
- Parts we supply. If a part we installed gives out inside that 90-day window, it’s on us. We’ll replace it and stand behind the replacement too.
- Cleanup and respect for your property. We don’t leave old springs, cable scraps, or opener boxes in your driveway. We treat your Thousand Oaks garage like it’s on our own street, because it probably is.
- On-time arrival. When we give you a window, we hit it. If something breaks loose on the previous job, you’ll get a call from a real person before you’re stuck waiting.
- Honest pricing that doesn’t move. The price Otto quotes on the phone is the price at the door. Not a penny more because he “found something” while he was there. Any changes get explained and agreed to before a wrench comes out.
- The brands you already know. We carry parts for LiftMaster, Chamberlain, Genie, Clopay, Amarr, Wayne Dalton, Craftsman, and Raynor. If your door uses it, we’ve worked on it.
Our Satisfaction Promise
Here’s how it works if you’re not happy. You call (805) 519-7431. A live person answers, often Otto himself. You tell him what’s wrong. He comes back, looks at it, and makes it right. You don’t argue with a phone tree. You don’t get transferred to a “retention specialist.” You talk to the same guy who did the work, and he stands there until it’s done properly. That’s the whole system. We’ve been in this county for over 29 years, and the reason people recommend us to their neighbors isn’t a clever warranty document. It’s that Otto answers the phone at nine at night when a spring lets go and your vehicle is sealed inside, quotes the job on that call, and holds the number when he gets there. If the door isn’t done right, it’s a reflection on one person, and that person lives with the reputation. He takes that seriously because he’ll see you again on Saturday.
Licensed & Insured Backing
Anybody can print a guarantee on a flyer. What backs it up is having a published address and a license number any homeowner can verify before the truck pulls up. That’s the real guarantee behind the paperwork. We’re insured and bonded, which means if something goes wrong beyond the door itself, you’re protected. But more important than the policy is what it says about how we operate. A licensed, insured shop has a name to protect and a record to answer for. That’s why we put the license number where you can see it, and that’s why we’ve never hidden behind a national dispatch center or an anonymous call queue. When Otto’s crew shows up, the truck says Otto’s Garage Door. The uniform says Otto’s Garage Door. And the person wearing it knows that the guarantee is only as good as the next call they answer.
